CFPD Visits Cambodia and Myanmar Time:2025/10/31

From October 22nd to 26th, Liu Zhenzhong, Deputy Secretary-General, led a delegation of the China Foundation for Peace and Development to Cambodia and Myanmar. During this visit, the group actively promoted Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and elaborated on the profound implication and contemporary value of the " The Four Major Global Initiatives " in these two countries. Two sides held extensive exchange on hosting the China-Cambodia Friendship Carnival of "Silk Road People-to-people Connectivity" and cooperation in livelihood projects. The delegation also called on the Chinese Consulate General in Mandalay and conducted follow-up visits to previous projects.

In Cambodia, the delegation held a discussion in depth with Ek Samol , the Chairman of Cambodia-China Friendship Association‌ on exchange and cooperation between the two sides, as well as public welfare projects planned for the near future. The delegation visited the new office of the Youth House for Cambodia-China Friendship for the meeting with Director Oknha. Kouch Pheng, then both side conducted a candid and detailed exchange on strengthening supervision, promoting frugality on the Carnival organization, and implementing the steel-structure school project and the Carnival activities. The delegation also met with Pan Dongfeng, a council member of the CFPD in Cambodia, to seek opinions and suggestions on related projects. Additionally, the delegation paid a field visit to the venue of the Carnival, the Techo Santepheap National Hospital, and the engineering company that responsible for constructing the steel-structure school. Wang Yahui, Wu Surong, and Xu Hongyuan from the CFPD's office in Cambodia participated in the activities above.

In Myanmar, the delegation met with Gao Ping, Chinese Consul General in Mandalay, and Li Bobo, Executive President of the Myanmar Chinese Cooperation and Communication Association, to discuss tripartite collaboration on public welfare projects. Additionally, the delegation held exchange with Myo Win, Chairman of the Pagoda Management Committee, and U Kyaw Khine, Mayor of Pyin Oo Lwin. The delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the "Lighting Up the Silk Road" Solar Streetlight Project and solicited suggestions for carrying out public welfare initiatives. Huang Guodong and Zhang Yue from the CFPDs Office in Myanmar participated in the activities above.
