China Foundation for Peace and Development Donates Pandemic Prevention Supplies to Cambodia Time：2024/06/19

On April 28, the China Foundation for Peace and Development donated pandemic prevention supplies to the Cambodian Civil Society Alliance Forum. This marks the third instance of pandemic relief assistance provided by the China Foundation for Peace and Development to the Cambodian Civil Society Alliance Forum since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia in March of last year.

The donation includes 14 laptops, 400 "love packages" containing food and masks, and 10 W603 air purifiers contributed by China Wanbei Environmental Management Co., Ltd. These air purifiers are designated for use in large public venues such as hospitals and schools, providing an additional layer of safety for frontline workers.

Zhang Yaowu, Director of the China Foundation for Peace and Development Office in Cambodia, emphasized that this donation is a collaborative effort with the "Silk Road Community" initiative, designed to support Cambodian civil society in combating the severe COVID-19 pandemic. Moving forward, the CFPD will continue to mobilize funds to extend further assistance to Cambodia.

Kemreat Viseth, Chairman of the Cambodian Civil Society Alliance Forum, expressed profound gratitude to China's generous donation. He underscored that a friend in need is a friend indeed. At this critical juncture in Cambodia's battle against COVID-19, this gesture once again represents the genuine care and strong friendship of the Chinese people towards the Cambodian population. Viseth assured that the Cambodian side will ensure the prompt distribution of these supplies to areas where they are most needed, thereby maximizing the respective donation’s impact and effectiveness.
