Ambassador Li Bojun Attends Ceremony in regards to the Donations from China Foundation for Peace and Development to Mauritania’s El Insaf Party Time：2024/06/20

On February 23rd, 2023, Ambassador Li Bojun and El Insaf Party Chairman Ely Ould Mohamed participated in a ceremony marking the donation of food and essential supplies from the China Foundation for Peace and Development to the El Insaf Party, and signeda transfer certificate. Other distinguished attendees included El Insaf Party Secretary General Ghisali, Executive Secretary for Health and Social Affairs Mustafa, and Advisor Chidati.

Ambassador Li highlighted the enduring friendship between China and Mauritania, noting that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, both nations have consistently demonstrated mutual understanding, respect, and support. In recent years, the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Ghazouani has further strengthened exchanges between the two countries, leading to closer ties between their respective political parties, increased mutual political trust, and fruitful cooperation across various fields. The donation of food and essential supplies by the China Foundation for Peace and Development to the El Insaf Party serves as a vivid and tangible testament to this amicable relationship. China remains committed to expanding and deepening cooperation, with the aim of elevating bilateral relations to new heights.

Representative Ely expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the El Insaf Party and the people of Mauritania for China's invaluable donations. He noted that the donated food and essential suppliesare a timely relief that will be distributed to help alleviate the hardships burdening those affected by last year’s flood. Ely also complimented the Chinese Communist Party for its remarkable achievements in leading China to significant development milestones. Ely expressed a desire to strengthen politicalexchanges with the Chinese Communist Party to learn from China's successful development experience for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.

The respective donation consists of 2,000 food packages, which includes rice, sugar, cooking oil, milk powder, and macaroni etc, with a total value of approximately 400,000 RMB.

Different media platforms such as Sahara Media, Alakhbar, the Akhbar Elyom website, and the new media platform "Viewpoint" were present to provide coverage for the respective event.
