An Online Handover Ceremony of Medical Equipment and Materials Donated by China Foundation for Peace and Development to Lao Local Hospitals was Held Time：2022/12/01

In the afternoon on February 11, an online handover ceremony for the medical equipment and materials donated by CFPD to Lao Local hospitals was held. H.E. Mr. Somphanh Phengkhamy, Vice President of National Assembly and Chairman of Lao Committee for Peace and Solidarity (LCPS), and Mr. Wang Hua, Deputy Secretary General of CFPD, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech successively.

Mr. Somphanh Phengkhamy remarked that the medical related materials donated by China have made positive contributions in time for the epidemic prevention and control in Laos. Here, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the China Foundation for Peaceful and Development and the people of China for their sincere and timely assistance. It is hoped that we will further deepen cooperation and make greater contributions to promoting friendship between the two parties, the two countries and the two peoples.

Wang Hua noted that in 2019, when President Xi Jinping replied the letter to Laos-China Friendship Nongping Primary School and mentioned: “I wish there would be as more “People-to-People Connectivity Envoy”, like CFPD, to devote their efforts along with the BRI countries to enhance cooperation and to benefit locals.” We will shoulder the lofty mission and responsibility of "People-to-People Connectivity Envoy", and continue our strong support with the brotherly Lao People in pulling together for a common cause through storm and stress in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr. Vongkham Saensathid, Deputy Director of LCPS, Mr. Samsanouk Mixay, Secretary General of LCPS, Mr. Qin Chen, Political Counselor of the embassy of China in Laos, and among Ministry of Health and local hospitals of Laos, attended in this online event.
