    On the afternoon of September 1st, the China Foundation for Peace and Development held a donation ceremony of Su Shishu's calligraphy works, "Excerpt from reply of President Xi Jinping gave to all teachers and students of China-Laos friendship Nongping Primary School”

    Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Chairman of the all China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the CFPD, presented the donation certificate to Su Shishu, Member of the Standing Committee of the 11th and 12th CPPCC National Committee, Deputy Director of the painting room of the CPPCC National Committee and Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Calligrapher Association, and expressed the respect and heartfelt thanks for the kindness. Gao Yunlong said that strengthening cultural exchanges and communication is of great significance to promoting non-governmental diplomacy. He hoped that artists would continue to actively participate in and support non-governmental diplomacy. Su Shishu introduced the development of calligraphy and said that diplomatic work and calligraphy creation have many similarities. They are both the art of combining hardness and softness. Integrating art into diplomacy will help to enhance the thoughts and feelings between the people of different countries.
