The Launching Ceremony of “Kit of Love” Project Held in Beijing Time：2021/04/25
On March 25, the launching ceremony of “Kit of Love”
Project that jointly initiated by China NGO Network for International Exchanges
(CNIE) and China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD) was held in
Beijing. Wang Ke, Deputy Secretary General of CNIE, Hong Ping, Deputy Secretary
General of China Family Planning Association, Geng Jing, Chairman of China
Cultural Heritage Foundation, Ahmed Farooq, Deputy Head of Mission of Pakistan
Embassy in China, and delegates from Chinese NGOs like China Charity Federation,
Sichuan Charity Federation, and Shanghai M&G Foundation as well as
delegates from enterprises and media like C&S Paper CO., LTD, Weilai Group,
and Qinhuangdao Fushou Food Co. Ltd attended the ceremony. More than 30 people
attended the ceremony.
Xu Jianguo, General Secretary of CFPD, expressed
that we started the project in the special background of the world's efforts to
fight against the new corona virus pandemic, which shows China’s determination
to cooperate with other countries, especially with neighboring countries, to
overcome difficulties and seek common development. We are willing to uphold the
concept of peaceful development, carry out more practical cooperation with
friendly countries in the field of people's livelihood, and fulfill the mission
of "People-to-People Connectivity Envoy".
Wang Ke, Deputy Secretary General of CNIE, said
that through the "Kit of Love" project, we hope to gather Chinese
folk forces to support friendly countries in coping with the impact of the pandemic,
and consolidate and deepen the friendship among the people of all countries. It
is expected that more Chinese non-governmental forces will join the "Joint
Action for Defeating the Covid-19 Silk Road Community Building Initiative"
and make greater contributions to promoting the people to people communication.
Geng Jing, Chairman of China Cultural Heritage
Foundation, said that it is a great honor to participate in the "Kit of
Love" Project. I hope that we can be like a small bulb to go as far as tens
of thousands of miles away to bring a good wish and convey warmth of love to
children abroad to illuminate their road of healthy growth.
Deng Guanbiao, CEO of C&S Paper CO., LTD, said
that C&S Paper CO., LTD will actively participate in the "Kit of Love"
project, unite with domestic social organizations to help overseas countries do
a good job in the next generation of pandemic prevention projects, rebuild
their beautiful homes, and solve their worries for local active construction
and economic development.
Ahmed Farooq, Deputy Head of Mission of Pakistan
Embassy in China, said that the Kit of Love Project has noble spirit
of striving for the well-being of the people's livelihood, which is the real
livelihood of the people. It not only provides material assistance to the
people, but also shows the attitude of Chinese folk forces to help other
countries. Here, I wish the Kit of Love Project every success! Hope to have
more cooperation with the CFPD in the future!
In order to implement the spirit of the important
speech delivered by H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of
China on “Healthy Silk Road” and “Building a Global Community of Health for
All”, CNIE and CFPD jointly launch the “Kit of Love” Project, which was
strongly supported by Chinese NGOs and enterprises. The first batch of
materials would be donated to more than 40 countries, including our neighboring
countries and African countries.
