Handover Ceremony of Medical Protection Materials Held at Myanmar Embassy in China Time:2020/05/29
On the afternoon of May 4, the handover ceremony of medical
protection materials donated to Myanmar by CFPD was held at Myanmar Embassy in
China. Myanmar Ambassador to China Myo Thant, and Secretary General of CFPD Xu
Jianguo, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
Ambassador Myo Thant said, at the hardest time in Myanmar
facing pandemic, the donation of medical protection materials by CFPD has great
significance for Myanmar, and he would report it to State Counsellor Daw Aung
San Suu Kyi. On behalf of the Myanmar government and people, he expressed sincere
thanks to the CFPD, Tencent company, Shanghai Pengxin Group and Fudian Bank. As
2020 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
between China and Myanmar, he hoped Myanmar Embassy, CFPD and Chinese companies
could join hands with to do relative celebrating activities.
Secretary General Xu Jianguo addressed that China and
Myanmar are linked by mountains and rivers and have a long history of friendly
relations. The establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Myanmar has
marked the 70th anniversary. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the
two countries have helped and supported each other. At present, China has
effectively controlled the pandemic and we understand that Myanmar is at a
critical moment in the fight against the pandemic. This time, worked with Tencent
company, Shanghai Pengxin Group and Fudian Bank, CPFD donate medical supplies
worth 5.5 million to Myanmar, hoping to help Myanmar curb the pandemic as soon
as possible.
