Secretary General Xu Jianguo Invited to International Symposium via Internet Video Time:2020/05/29
On May 19th, China NGO Network for International
Exchanges held an international symposium on “the role of non-governmental
organizations: from international cooperation in pandemic control to
international public health governance”. Representatives from sectors of non-governmental
organizations, scholars and businessmen around the world, including China NGO
Network for International Exchanges Deputy Secretary General Liu Kaiyang, China
Foundation for Poverty Alleviation Executive Vice president Wang Xingzhi, Cambodia’s
Civil Society Alliance Forum Chairman Kemreat Viseth, Red Cross Society of
China Vice Communication Director Yu Liying, South Africa's Pearson Institute
of Higher Education Principal Farhana Paruk attended the conference. CFPD Secretary
General Xu Jianguo was invited to deliver a keynote speech.
Xu Jianguo introduced the achievements and experiences of
CFPD in international pandemic control at first, and then he said that with the
growing power of civil society, we should make full use of non-governmental
organizations in international public health governance. Non-governmental
organizations in China and beyond should strengthen cooperation in information
and resource, give full play to the role of the bridge between the government
and the public, national community and international community, and help the world
curb the virus at an early date.
