CFPD Donated Epidemic Control Supplies to the Embassy of Ethiopia in China Time:2020/06/30
On June 3rd, CFPD donated 100,000 surgical masks to the
Embassy of Ethiopia in China. Ethiopian Ambassador to China Teshome Toga, and Deputy
Secretary General of CFPD Wang Hua attended the handover ceremony.
Wang Hua said, “ the all-round development of China-
Ethiopia relation is the best practice of the Belt and Road initiative(BRI),
and the two sides have fully displayed the golden principle of BRI—consultation,
contribution and shared benefits. Chinese people were deeply moved by the fact
that Ethiopia was the first of 54 African countries to offer support to Chinese
people at the most difficult time in China’s fight against the epidemic.
Chinese people will never forget this deep friendship. We hope those 100,000
surgical masks will help Ethiopian people and overcome the epidemic through the
joint efforts of the two peoples”. At the same time, Wang expressed his
anticipation for further cooperation in more fields with the Embassy of Ethiopia
in China.
Teshome Toga remarked, “the help and support from China
to Ethiopia showcased the spirit of an earlier agreement reached by leaders from
both countries, ie only by joint efforts can we fight the epidemic. I would
like to express my gratitude to CFPD for supplies donation. Over the past few
months, I have witnessed China’s successful experience in epidemic control, and
have published several articles of my own to congratulate China on its success.
While this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment
of diplomatic ties between China and Ethiopia, I expect more exchanges and
cooperation with CFPD”.
Xing Jinqiao, Founder of
Zhongyulidu Culture Company also attended the ceremony.
