Launching Ceremony of Peace and Development Forum and Glory of Domestic Products Held in Beijing Time：2020/06/30

    On the afternoon of June 12, the launching ceremony of Peace and Development Forum and Ambassadors on BRI Live-streaming Sales of Glory of Domestic Products was held in Beijing. The event was co-hosted by CFPD and Hainan TV, and undertaken by Taobao Alliance, Weibo, Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Committee and Zhongyulidu Culture Company. Liu Kaiyang, Deputy Secretary General of China NGO Network for International Exchanges; Xu Jianguo, Secretary General of CFPD; Wang Hua, Deputy Secretary General of CFPD; and Kong Deming, Secretary of Party Committee and Director of  Hainan Television; Gu Xiaojing, General Manager of Hainan Radio, Film and Television Media Group Company, as well as 21 foreign envoys to China from Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Barbados, Benin, Ethiopia, Maldives, Namibia, Rwanda, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, El Salvador, Japan, Pakistan, South Africa, Ecuador, Italy, Uruguay and Malaysia attended the ceremony.

    Liu Kaiyang, Deputy Secretary General of China NGO Network for International Exchanges, said in his speech that the initiation of “the Belt and Road” Special Fund and the restart of Peace and Development Forum by CFPD, as well as the cross-platform live broadcast of Glory of Domestic Products by both CFPD and Hainan TV have magnificent meanings, which will promote friendly exchanges between China and other countries, deepen people-to-people friendship and contribute to economic and cultural development and people-to-people exchanges along BRI.

    Deputy Secretary General Wang Hua addressed that “the Belt and Road” Special Fund will explore a new type of dialogue and invite ambassadors from different countries and business and media leaders from China to provide them with opportunities for communication and cooperation. We will stay committed to boosting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations by means of the wide-ranging and colorful Peace and Development Forum. Supports and participation from more friends are expected.

    The ceremony also featured the inauguration of “the Belt and Road” Special Fund of CFPD, the donation agreement signing of Glory of Domestic Products by CFPD and Hainan TV, the offering of invitations to foreign envoys to China and the launch of Glory of Domestic Products. After the event, Secretary General Xu Jianguo accepted interview from Hainan TV.
