The Fifth Meeting of the Second Council of China Foundation for Peace and Development Held Time:2020/12/30

On the afternoon of December 29, 2020, the fifth meeting of the Second Council of China Foundation for Peace and Development was held in Beijing. Chairman Gao Yunlong presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Yajun, Vice Minister of the joint Department of the CPC Central Committee, was invited to attend and speak at the meeting. Li Ruogu, Vice Chairman, and Members of the Board, Tian Chao, Xu zewei, Zhang Baozhong, Zhong Baoshen, Xu Jianguo and Huang Li, attended the meeting. Jiang Zhigang, Chief Supervisor, and Ma Mengjiang, Supervisors, attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates. The Vice Chairman and the Members of the Board who ask for leave on business are authorized to entrust relevant personnel to attend the meeting.

The meeting heard <The Suggestions on Adjusting the Members of the Second Council of the CFPD>, after voting, it was agreed to add Zhong Baoshen as a Member of the Second Board of Directors. It was deliberated and adopted at the meeting < The Work Summary of CFPD in 2020 and Work Plan of CFPD in 2021 >, <The Report on Investment and Financial Management of CFPD in 2020 and Financial Budget Arrangement of CFPD in 2021>, < The Statement on the Change of Registered Capital of CFPD>, and <The Suggestions on Amending the Constitution of CFPD>.

The meeting fully affirmed the CFPD's recent work, in particular, all staff actively overcome the adverse effects of the epidemic, strive to promote the project work, strive to expand the scale of funds, and have achieved remarkable results in doing a good job in the "Two Services". It is hoped that the CFPD will continue to bear in mind the mission of the CFPD under the leadership of the Council, actively forge ahead, explore and innovate, strive to be a "Messenger of People to People" and make greater contributions to the cause of non-governmental diplomacy.
