Signing Ceremony of the Agreement between China Foundation for Peace and Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Suriname for Donation of Health and Epidemic Prevention Materials was Held in Beijing Time:2020/04/24
On April 17, signing ceremony of the Agreement between China
Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of the Republic of Suriname regarding the donation of health and epidemic
prevention materials was held in Beijing. Patty Chen, Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to
China and Xu Jianguo, Secretary General of CFPD signed the Agreement.
Mr. Xu Jianguo Secretary General of CFPD, expressed that
Suriname and China are good friends and partners with mutual trust and support. The Suriname-China relations have been
enhancing and the friendship of the two peoples has been deepening since the
establishment of diplomatic relations in 1976 between the two countries. The Signing
of the Agreement is a witness to the friendship between the two countries and
hopefully the donation of 100,000 surgical masks can help the Suriname people
to fight against COVID-19 epidemic successfully.
Ambassador Patty Chen remarked that the COVID-19 has been
affecting the daily life of all humans, and it is in our common interest to
make every effort to curb the spread of the virus. Today's signing ceremony demonstrates the determination of
Suriname people and Chinese people to work together in the fight against the
spread of the virus. May
