China-Myanmar‘Friends on the Silk Road’10 School Project Time：2019/01/30

On January 22, 2019, a delegation led by Deputy Secretary General Wang Hua attended the Handover Ceremony of China-Myanmar ‘Friends on the Silk Road’10 School Project in Yangon region. Dr Nay Lin, the Chairman of Alinyaung Foundation, and the head of Department for Education of local government, and more than 200 representatives of school teachers, students and parents also participated.

The project was launched in 2017 and funded by CFPD, with the goal of building one standard board schoolhouse for each of the ten villages in Yangon Region, equipped with classrooms, toilets and other facilities, and each classroom no less than 100 square meters. The ten schools are enabled to accommodate more than 1,400 students. All 10 schools have been integrated into Myanmar's national education system and are under unified normative management by the Myanmar Ministry of Education.
