China-Cambodia "Friends on the Silk Road" Five-school Project Time:2019/11/30
On November 30, 2019, the handover ceremony of the China-Cambodia "Friends on the Silk Road" Five-school Project, funded by CFPD, was completed in Sihanoukville Province, Cambodia.
Pit Chamnan, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, GHom Chomram, Governor of Sihanoukville Province, and Xu Jianguo, Secretary General of CFPD, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. More than 500 people, including representatives of students and teachers as long as parents of these five schools attended the ceremony. The activity was warm and grand. Cambodian mainstream media reported on the event.
The China-Cambodia "Friends on the Silk Road" Five-school Project transferred this time is funded by CFPD. The plan was to build a standard school building in each school of these 5 schools in Sihanoukville. And each school building contains 5 classrooms, indoor desks and chairs, an outdoor bathroom, and some other facilities. After the project is completed, it can accommodate nearly 2,400 children at the same time. Since the establishment of the Foundation, we have already funded the construction of Cambodia-China Indra Devi Secondary School, Angkor High School, Sok An Tonleap High School and some other 12 primary and high schools. The locations of these schools include Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville Port, Takeo, and so on, with a number of direct beneficiaries exceeding fifty thousands of people, and hundreds of thousands of indirect beneficiaries.
