China-Cambodia Friendship Village Project for Poverty Alleviation Time:2019/11/30
On November 29, 2019, CFPD signed an agreement with the Civil Society Alliance Forum (CSAF), in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, to jointly build a China-Cambodia Friend Village Project for poverty alleviation and use China's experience to help Cambodian to reduce rural poverty.
According to the agreement, the two sides choose to carry out the project in Tanorn Village, Doung Commune, Bati District, Takeo Province, 60 kilometers south of Phnom Penh. The project will last for three years, including the construction of infrastructure such as roads and water supply, the establishment of a health center, the development of vocational training to support farming, aquaculture, handicrafts and other rural industries, and the development of village environmental governance. The goal is to build Tanorn Village as a demonstration of China-Cambodia friendship and joint poverty alleviation efforts, and to further promote friendship between the two countries.
In November 2019, Secretary-General Xu Jianguo visited the China-Cambodia Friendship Village.
