Xu Jianguo, Secretary-General of CFPD meets with South Africa of the Tumahole Legacy Foundation Time：2019/09/30
On September 22 to 27, at the invitation of China Foundation for Peace and Development Foundation(CFPD), Vanessa Masilo, chairman of the Tumahole Legacy Foundation(TLF) of the free-state Province in South Africa, led a delegation of four people to visit China.
In the morning of the 26th, Xu Jianguo, Secretary General of CFPD, met with the TLF’s delegation. Secretary General Xu Jianguo briefly introduced the general knowledge of CFPD as well as the survey based on the field research on poverty alleviation projects to be carried out in South Africa. During the meeting, Vanessa Masilo, Chairman of the TLF and Lindi Molibeli, Mayor of the free-state province successively addressed that they would like to establish a long-term partnership with CFPD to promote student exchange programs and vocational training programs. Under which more employment opportunities could be created for young people in order to promote the sustainable and stable economic growth of the free-state province.
During their stay in Beijing, the delegation visited the Training and Publicity Center of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Overseas Investment Union of The Investment Association of China respectively, and the two sides in each meeting have reached consensus on further expanding investment, strengthening trade, deepening safety and security exchanges and cooperation, promoting community building experience exchange and enhancing cooperation in the field of people's livelihood.
