President Xi Jinping Replied the Letter to Laos-China Frinedship Nongping Primary School’s all Teachers and Students Time：2019/05/01

Xinhua News Agency Beijing on April 30: On the eve of the Thematic Forum on People-to-People Connectivity of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, all the students and teachers of Laos-China Friendship Nongping Primary School wrote a letter to President Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee. In that letter they not only expressed their heartfelt thanks for China’s sponsorship of the School, and also illustrated their willingness to participate in the “Belt and Road” construction. President Xi Jinping replied to the letter and in it he encourages the students to be the successors of the Laos-China friendship.

In President Xi Jinping’s reply, he wrote, "Thank you for your letter and the exquisite pictures-album, by which I can feel your happiness and your longing for a better life and your sincere friendship to Chinese people. I have deeply been touched by your goodwill.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

President Xi Jinping said in his reply, “I acknowledged in your letter that many prosperous changes have been happened in your school, hometown, studying-and-daily life, all of which being brought out by the "Belt and Road" construction. Achieving common development and prosperity along with the “Belt and Road” countries and working out a better life for all the peoples to be reached upon is my original inspiration of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).  To strengthening cooperation on public livelihood fields and promoting for Laos-China strong and sound comprehensive coordination has been utmost content for building a common community with a shared future between Laos and China under the BRI framework. Upon which local people's better life and happiness can be engrained through more people-oriented beneficial projects. I wish there would be as more “People-to-People Envoy” as of CFPD standing to devote their efforts along with the BRI countries to enhance cooperation and to benefit locals. The students are expected to study hard and grow up as pillars of your country soon and to be the successors of the Laos-China friendship. Sincerely wish the longer the time goes, the better Nongping primary school becomes. Welcome you all to Beijing by riding on Laos-China railway the early the better.”

Of the letter being submitted to President Xi Jinping in which it is articulated by all the teachers and students “Chinese dreams and Lao dreams are benignly interlinked by the glorious Belt and Road Initiative. We love to pay our genuine and heartfelt thanks to you, the original initiator of the Belt and Road Initiative. And we hope that a cozy Laos-China railway will be soon enabled us to come to Beijing.”  On spot of Thematic Forum on People-to-People Connectivity of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, Lao representatives entrusted the organizer to have their elaborately-made-album of “Our Silk Road Stories” passed on to President Xi Jingping. And in that picture-album, 58 excellent pictures were carefully chosen to congratulate the 58th years anniversary of the well established diplomatic relations between Laos and China, and to share the success and happiness of the improvement of Lao people's life.   

The Laos-China Friendship Nongping primary school was sponsored by China in 2012. Ever since then China has offered volunteer teachers to help the students learn Mandarin as well as to provide educational materials among others. It is the best illustration for “The Model Project” for Laos-China Friendship.
