Groundbreaking Ceremony of Philippines-China Friendship Water Pump Stations Project was Held in Davao City Time:2017/10/30
On August 8, 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony for Philippines-China Friendship Water Pump Stations Project was held simutaniously at three different locations, i.e. Barangay Tibungco, Barangay Pa?alum, Paquibato and Barangay Bantol, Marilog in Davao City. The representatives of Davao City Government of the Philippines, April Marie C. Dayap, Councilor of Davao City and Jesse C. Agbulos, Director of TEAM Humanity as well as representatives of aid recipients district governments and locals amounting to a total number of more than 200 people separately attended the ceremonies held in three locations.
The atmosphere at the ceremonies were solemn and warmly welcomed. The villagers said that they had been really grateful for China’s generousity and benevolence in sponsoring drinking water projects. By which sound and enhanced NGOs cooperation between China and the Philippines have become the most favorit result from their witness. The earlier the drinking water projects are accomplished, the better the locals are to benefit from the project.
The Philippines-China Water Pump Station Project is one of the first batch public welfare projects launched in the Philippines by CFPD and its two local cooperators, which are the Davao City Government and a local NGO titled as TEAM Humanity. According to the Agreement signed by the three parties, CFPD shall raise fund to support the Philippine side for the construction of three water pump stations separately located at the aforementioned three different villages. The contents of the each single water pump station project have to be consisted of a deep-well water pumping station, water tower, power-engine room and other related pipes for drinking water network interconnection leading to households. The three parties unanimously agreed to build the each single water pump station project into “A Model Project” in symbolizing Philippines-China Friendship. The said water station projects are supposed to benefit nearly for about 1,000 households in three villages as well as to play an utmost role in solving the local people's drinking water safety conundrums, disease control and horticulture irrigation, among other issues.
The construction period starts from August 2017 to January 2018.
