Working Group of China Foundation of Peace and Development visited Tajikistan to inspect the Smart Campus Project Time：2017/03/15

From March 9 to 12, 2017, Yu Xiaoxuan, deputy secretary-general of China Foundation of Peace and Development (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation), led working group of 4 people to visit Tajikistan. They investigate the CFPD aided project of smart campus of Tajikistan National University (referred to as Tajikistan University).

According to the project plan submitted by Tajikistan and the preliminary consensus of both sides, the Foundation plans to raise US$400,000 to support the construction of the smart campus project of Tajikistan University. Its core content is to develop and construct functional modules covering the campus, such as wireless local area network, big data center, online learning platform and so on, and the construction of two multi-function teaching halls with a total area not less than 200 square meters. The two halls has a construction period of 12 months. After the completion of the project, Tajikistan University will achieve full coverage of wireless networks in schools, and possess the technical capabilities of real-time collection and sharing of educational and teaching resources, online interactive teaching and so on, which will help to improve level of informatization construction, build an information-based education platform that integrates domestic and international, and strengthen connections with international renowned universities, especially education resources of China.

Tajikistan University is the TOP comprehensive university in Tajikistan, with nearly 22,000 students. It is the alma mater of Tajikistan's current Party and the state leader. Confucius Institute in Tajikistan University is a worldclass demonstration institution operates by Hanban. It covers 19 teaching sites in Tajikistan , with a total of more than 3000 registered students.
