Lao-China "Friends on Silk Road" Wisdom Campus Project Launching Ceremony Held in Laos Time:2018/10/22

On September 24, the launching ceremony of the "Friends on Silk Road" Wisdom Campus Project sponsored by CFPD was held in Lao-China Phonxay Middle School in Luangprabang Province, Laos. H.E. Zhao Leji, Secretary of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission of the CPC and member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee accompanied by his entourage were invited to attend the ceremony, among other privileged attendees, including Wang Wentian, China’s Ambassador to Lao P.D.R and H.E. Khamphanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Luangprabang of Laos, Sounthone Sayachack, Chair person of the Committee of People’s Relations of the Central Committee of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Sengkhamyong, Deputy Secretary of the Central Discipline Commission of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party. Messrs. Zhao Leji and Sengkhamyong honored the "Friends on Silk Road" Wisdom Campus Project by jointly unveiled of it.

 

Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), who delivered a speech at the ceremony and addressed that the sincere friendship between Laos and China have been down to generations and will be last forever with respect to geographically interconnected mountains and rivers. Both countries share common ideals, beliefs and goals. The CPC and China’s government encourage and support more NGOs coming to Laos to carry out people-to-people exchanges and practical cooperation and to build a "warmly-sensed" Lao-China community of common destiny.

 

Mr. Khamphanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Luang Prabang of Laos, who remarked that CFPD has successively sponsored different administrative areas for building up 11-school projects in Laos. The assorted donation of educational supporting set and teaching materials aimed at upgrading school facilities will not only extraordinarily enhance the level of the hardware learning conditions, but also create Lao youth better learning-friendly environments, and so to speak highly in lined with the development strategy of Laos even more.

 

More than 600 representatives of teachers, students and locals in and around Phonxay Middle School attended the ceremony. Students performed splendid traditional dance programs. The atmosphere was friendly and joyful.

 

Lao-China Phonxay Middle School project was officially launched in Luangprabang Province. According to the Agreement, CFPD will provide a batch of computers, printers, photocopiers and so on for constructing "Friends on Silk Road" Wisdom Campus Project within campuses of the 11 schools in order to make hardware upgrading a realization.
