China Foundation for Peace Development Delegation Visits Laos Time：2019/03/06

At the invitation of the Lao Committee for Peace and Solidarity (LCPS), Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of China Foundation for Peace and Development(CFPD), Gao Yunlong led a delegation to visit Laos on February 20 to 22. During his stay in Laos, Gao Yunlong met respectively with President of National Assembly Pany Yathortou, President of Lao Front for National Development Saysomphone PHOMVIHANE and Chairperson of the Committee for External Relations of the Central Committee of People’s Revolutionary Party Sounthone Sayachack of Lao PDR, and held talks with Vice President of National Assembly and Chairman of LCPS Somphanh Phengkhamy. Both sides agreed that sound efforts should be made to further promote common mutual-support of the two peoples and jointly build a community with shared future.

CFPD’s delegation along with Vice President of National Assembly and Chairman of LCPS Somphanh Phengkhamy attended the handover ceremony of Muengoy School and also paid a field visit to Nongping Primary School, which is sponsored by CFPD in 2012 in Vientaine.

The Lao government has decided to award CFPD with Lao's National Medal of Development class 1 and Certificate in context of making sound recognition of CFPD positive contribution to Lao's educational public welfare sectors.
