Malaysian Sustainable Development Observation Group Visits China Time：2016/11/17

At the invitation of China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD), Mr Mohd Nasri Zakariah, Deputy Commander of Civil Defense Emergency Rescue Team (CDERT) Better Nation, Head of Media Communication UMNO Malaysia, led a Malaysian group to visit China to observe sustainable development practices from Nov 6 to 11, 2016.

      During their stay in Beijing, Mr. Xu Zhensui, Secretary General of CFPD, met and had discussion with the group. The group took part in the 2016 “Friends on the Silk Road” China-Malaysia People-to-people Dialogue held by CFPD under the theme of The Role of Civil Society in Jointly Building the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road” by China and Malaysia. To have a comprehensive understanding of this, group members had held discussions with experts and scholars from Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Corporate Social Responsibility Promotion Center. Besides, the group visited the Huawei Beijing Exhibition Center and Blue Ocean Network.

      Apart from Beijing, the group had also visited Haikou City of Hainan Province where they attended another seminar on Jointly Building “the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road”, and they visited Fushan Coffee Plantation Farm at Chengmai County, Hainan Airlines Group, Hainan Provincial Planning Exhibition Hall, National Institute for South China Sea Studies, Boao Forum for Asia Hotel and Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone.
