Cambodian Social Governance Senior Seminar Group Visits China
The Cambodian Social Governance Senior Seminar Group consisting of 31 members paid a visit to China from 19th to 27th September. The group was led by H.E. Mr. Kem Reat Viseth, Director of General Office of Deputy Prime Minister Sok An and Chairman of the Council of Cambodia Civil Society Organization Alliance Forum (CAF).
During their visit in China, the Cambodian group took part in the Cambodia-China CSO Dialogue held by CFPD. The visit centered on topics such as Current State of China’s Political, Economic and Social Development, The Development of Chinese Social Organizations, The Idea and Practice of Chinese government in Guiding CSOs to Participate in Social Governance, etc.. To make comprehensive understandings of these topics, group members held discussions with experts and scholars from Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Bureau of Social Organization Administration in Ministry of Civil Affairs, and China Development Research Foundation. The group has also visited China Worker’s Center for International Exchange, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation and Tangjialing Village in Xibeiwang Town and held discussions with persons in charge. Besides Beijing, the Cambodian group has travelled to Suzhou and paid visits to Tecsun (Suzhou) Homes Corporation, Changjiang Civilian Education Foundation and Planning Exhibition Hall of China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park.
The arrangements and preparation to this visit were performed jointly by Beijing Foreign Studies University and CFPD.
