From February 28th to March 6th, at the invitation of CFPD, Mr. Paisal Puechmongkol, Vice-President and Secretary-General of the Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association led a 20-member delegation to China. The delegation members include high-level officials from the Secretariat and Government Spokesman Bureau of the Prime Minister Office, the Government Public Relations Department and managers, senior editors from mainstream Thai media. The delegation met with Mr. Li Ruogu, former President of the Export-Import Bank of China, CFPD Vice Chairman in Beijing. They also have had meetings with representatives from Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and China Associations for International Friendly Contact. Meanwhile, the delegation has discussions on media sector with experts and scholars from Beijing Foreign Studies University and visited China Railway Construction Corporation Limited Company, Blue Ocean TV and Beijing Bestall Advertising Company.
Except for Beijing, the delegation has also gone to Shenzhen. They exchanged views with Shenzhen International Exchange and Cooperation Foundation and International Investment Promotion Association on China-Thai cooperation. The delegation also visited Shenzhen Citizen Center, Hytera Company, China Merchants History Museum and China Merchants Shekou Exhibition Center, as to have more understandings on China’s successful practices of the reform and opening up policy and the Special economic Zone policy in particular.
