CFPD Work Team Attended the 5th High-level Meeting of the Development Cooperation Forum Time:2016/07/26
At the invitation of ECOSOC,Mr. Ji Ping, Deputy Secretary General of CFPD led a work team to participate in the 5th High-level Meeting of the Development Cooperation Forum (DCF) from July 20-23 in New York that attended by more than 200 stakeholders including government officials, leaders of international organizations, academia, private sectors and civil societies. The theme of DCF this year is “Development Cooperation: Lever for Effective Implementation of the 2030 Agenda”. Mr. Ji Ping made a speech in Session V “Development Cooperation by the Private Sector, Other Non-State Actors and Blended Development Cooperation”, where he briefed about China's practices and experiences in civil society in the area of development and cooperation, especially in poverty relief, social development and environmental protection. He also briefed about Civil Society 20 China 2016 (C20).
During their stay in New York, the work team has also visited United Nations Development Program(UNDP), NGO Branch in Department of Economic and Social Affairs, UN Non-governmental Liaison Offices(NGLS) and so on.
